I enjoyed an enlightening morning at the state capitol, listening in on how Colorado continues to solidify its place as a prime tech hub between the coasts. Great to hear from our legislators, the Governor’s Office of IT, the City & County of Denver, sponsoring vendors, and the Colorado Technology Association. Quick takeaways for what Coloradans need: a continued commitment to technology innovation for the benefit of its citizens!
Let’s not Lose Focus for Technology Innovation in Colorado:
✅ Prioritize and tackle tech debt and modernization
✅ Align our data, focusing on security and privacy to power simple, connected interfaces
✅ Continue making strides in expanding broadband access–across the entire state
✅ Investigate AI safety and effectiveness
✅ Build tech skills and tech jobs throughout the state
Legislators, don’t get caught up in the hubbub of buzzwords and the complexity of technology trends creating regulatory creep! Focus on the priorities and stay away from recommendations that lean toward being puzzlingly vague.
Citizens, get involved, be early adopters, provide feedback, and contribute to shaping a more connected, innovative, and equitable Colorado!
